This morning (Really Early 5am) I woke up thinking about why I woke up so darn early to write my blog!?
So, guess what I'm writing about today?
I know a lot of people in the arts. Musicians, singers, photographers, and writers like me. And we all seem to have very strange sleeping habits for some reason!
Mine is waking up before the chickens. Feeling inspired in the early morning hours is a phenomenon many people experience, especially people in the arts (Creative People). I've often wondered why?
Here are a few facts that help explain why sleep evades me and other people.
Early mornings are often free from distractions, noise, and interruptions, creating a serene environment ideal for creative thinking. Your mind is refreshed after sleep, making it easier to access new ideas and perspectives.
Upon waking, your brain often remains in an alpha wave state for a short time. This state fosters relaxation, creativity, and intuition, making it a prime time for inspiration.
At the start of the day, you haven’t yet faced the pressures, deadlines, or responsibilities that accumulate throughout the day. This mental freedom allows your imagination to roam.
For some people, circadian rhythms enhance focus and energy in the early morning. You might naturally be a "morning person," making this time your peak for productivity and inspiration.
During sleep, your brain organizes and processes information. Early morning inspiration could be the result of fresh insights emerging from this mental activity.
Mornings represent a fresh start. This sense of renewal can inspire motivation and hope, prompting creative bursts and goal-setting.
